-A buddy system (you can add buddies so you can easily write them and more)
-Something to tell you that you already registered a buddy's code
-Merchandise (VC games and Wii point cards)
-A tournament section where you can check the date and game of the next tournament
-A quick submit review (like the user content, added immediately)
-A Mii section where you can share your Mii creations.
-IRC or Java chat rooms
-A place to share SSBB stages and more

Right, about moderators, you don't sign up for the job, and you can't petition or vote yourself in (no going Napoleon). The first rule to becoming a moderator: never ask to become a moderator. Second rule: be as linient as possible. etc. etc. Ben should be a moderator (naturally) and Arvin is an Administrator. You would only need 1 or 2 more moderators considering the site isn't as big as it could be.

And another thing, if chat is a possibility, you would need live moderation which would be a problem, so live chat should be limited to invited users like gmail (i.e. invite users to chat, block users etc.).

And one final comment from the peanut gallery :). Read what you post before you post it, in other words, do a quick spelling and grammar check. With computers, the 90% body language and the 8% tone of which we use to send our thoughts and impressions are hardly available in a forum, leaving the 2% of what you say, so make sure the point you are trying to make is clear and precise.

Sorry, I post a lot, I don't mean too. Anyway, one final point (to add to my 3 others just above). The ranking system is a good idea, I like it. Your level should be visable right under your avatar. Also to follow up on that, if you spend your points, it shouldn't take away from your rank; there should be a column displaying your total collected points, and the points you have to spend (i.e. Points Collected: 1000, Points Left to Spend: 200).

That's a great point! It is only fair that your ranking lowers when you spend points.

I've got one:
We should be able to click a button to that marks a Friend Code and says that we have added it and if the owner of the friend code has not added you, then there is a little notification.
It would look a little something like this:
